HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives wish to congratulate Officer Russ Chorley on the occasion of his retirement from the LaGrange Police Department after more than 29 years of service; and

WHEREAS, In addition to receiving the Chief's Award of Merit and 2 Unit Citation Awards, Russ Chorley was the recipient of the Life Saving Award in recognition of his act of bravery in saving a person from a burning car, injuring his arm in the process; and

WHEREAS, Russ Chorley retired from the LaGrange Police Department on September 7, 2013, finishing a long and distinguished career in law enforcement; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Russ Chorley on the occasion of his retirement and wish him continued success and happiness in the future; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Russ Chorley as a symbol of our esteem and respect.
