HOUSE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of Representatives are pleased to congratulate Mary L. Webb as she retires from the Hazel Crest School District after 38 years of service; and

WHEREAS, Mary Webb began working for the Hazel Crest School District 152 1/2 in August of 1975 as the General Business Clerk; she was the first African American female to be hired in the district office; she eventually moved to a position as Building Secretary at Woodland Elementary School; and

WHEREAS, After a brief stint at Warren Palm, Mary Webb returned to Woodland Elementary and finished her career at the school; and

WHEREAS, Mary Webb's children Tyrone, Andre, and LaKeya are all graduates of the Hazel Crest School District; and

WHEREAS, Mary Webb is planning on spending her retirement with her children, her 6 grandchildren, and her husband; and

WHEREAS, Mary Webb's retirement will be official on May 28, 2013; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we congratulate Mary Webb on her retirement, thank her for her service to the Hazel Crest School District, and wish her all the best with her future endeavours; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to Mary Webb as an expression of our esteem and respect.
