1 HOUSE RESOLUTION

2     WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois House of
3 Representatives are pleased to congratulate the St. Thomas More
4 cross country team on being the IHSA Class A Cross Country
5 State Champions; and

6     WHEREAS, St. Thomas More achieved this honor on November 3,
7 2012; this is the first cross country State title in school
8 history; and

9     WHEREAS, St. Thomas More's head coach, David Behm, is the
10 Illinois Track and Cross Country Coaches Association Coach of
11 the Year and the Champaign News Gazette and Illinois Prep
12 Harrier Coach of the Year; and

13     WHEREAS, St. Thomas More's runners are Nick Hess (junior),
14 who was 3rd place in the Champaign News Gazette Runner of the
15 Year contest, Jacob Helfrich (senior), who was All-State, Sam
16 Powers (junior), Brendan Remington (junior), who was Illinois
17 Prep Harrier 5th Man of the Year, Sean Kelly (senior), David
18 Horn (freshman), Jack Bolger (junior), and George Pennacchi
19 (sophomore); therefore, be it

20     RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE
21 NINETY-EIGHTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that

1 we congratulate the St. Thomas More cross country team on being
2 the IHSA Class A Cross Country State Champions; and be it
3 further

4     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
5 presented to the St. Thomas More Cross Country Team as an
6 expression of our esteem and respect.
