SYNOPSIS AS INTRODUCED:

725 ILCS 5/110-14 rep.

Amends the Code of Criminal Procedure of 1963. Repeals provision giving a credit of $5 for each day of incarceration towards a fine of a person unable to make bail on a bailable offense. Effective immediately.

AN ACT concerning criminal law.

Be it enacted by the People of the State of Illinois, represented in the General Assembly:

Section 5. The Code of Criminal Procedure of 1963 is amended by repealing Section 110-14.

Section 99. Effective date. This Act takes effect upon becoming law.
