SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Rose A. Harcar of Streator, who passed
4away on August 15, 2020; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Rose Harcar was born to Roy and Mary (Ingram)
6Hilliard in Streator on November 11, 1946; born and raised in
7Streator, she attended local grade schools and graduated from
8Streator High School; she married James J. Harcar on May 15,
91973; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Rose Harcar worked for St. Mary's Hospital in the
11Physical Therapy Department through the years; after taking
12some time off to raise her family, she went to work at B&R
13Grocery for 15 years until her retirement; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Rose Harcar was a member of the former St.
15Stephen's Church and currently belonged to St. Michael the
16Archangel Church; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Rose Harcar had a big personality and was always
18quick to share a smile or her opinion; she would offer help to
19anyone at any time; she could often be found with her coffee
20klatch at one of the local restaurants solving all of the
21world's problems; she loved her family very much and always

1doted on her own kitten and her family member's pets; and
 
2    WHEREAS, Rose Harcar was preceded in death by her parents;
3her sister, Roberta Bullard; and her brothers and
4sisters-in-law, Joseph Harcar, Wanda Harcar, William Harcar,
5Anne Beckom, Maria Harcar, Thomas Harcar, Mona Harcar, Agnes
6Hornick, Richard Hornick, and Mike Harcar; and
 
7    WHEREAS, Rose Harcar is survived by her husband; her son,
8Jimmy (Heather) Harcar; her sister, Mary Beth (Larry) Wampler;
9her brothers and sisters in-law, Andrew Harcar Sr., Oral
10(Frances) Higdon, Mary Ann Woodward, Ann Harcar, and David
11Bullard; her many nieces and nephews; her great-nieces and
12nephews; and her beloved cat, Smokey; therefore, be it
 
13    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL
14ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
15Rose A. Harcar and extend our sincere condolences to her
16family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
17further
 
18    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
19presented to the family of Rose Harcar as an expression of our
20deepest sympathy.
