SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of John "Jack" Eddleman of East Moline, who passed away on July 31, 2020; and

WHEREAS, Jack Eddleman was born in Moline to Ralph and Mary Esther (Parmley) Eddleman on May 12, 1936; he married Willa Ann Culp in East Moline on September 7, 1956 and served in the U.S. Army, where he was stationed at Fort Sill, Oklahoma; and

WHEREAS, Jack Eddleman was an assembler at John Deere Harvester; he retired in March of 1987 after 32 years of service; and

WHEREAS, Jack Eddleman was a lifelong member of First Baptist Church in East Moline; he enjoyed golfing and playing euchre and poker; he was a family man and loved spending time with his grandchildren; and

WHEREAS, Jack Eddleman was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Willa; his daughter, Brenda Gordon; and his siblings, Ruth (Jiggs) McKenzie, Don (Jeri) Eddleman, and Roy (Shirley) Eddleman; and

WHEREAS, Jack Eddleman is survived by his children, Anita (Tom) Parkinson and Ray (Lynda) Eddleman and his grandchildren, Trudy, Halie, Madison, Wesley, and Tyler; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of John "Jack" Eddleman and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Jack Eddleman as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
