SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Michael Douglas Grom of Waukegan, who passed away on April 4, 2020; and

WHEREAS, Michael Grom was born in Waukegan on December 15, 1974; he was a lifelong resident of Waukegan; and

WHEREAS, Michael Grom worked at Jesters in Waukegan; and

WHEREAS, Michael Grom was an avid fan of the Cubs and the Eagles; and

WHEREAS, Michael Grom was preceded in death by his mother, Shirley Grom; his paternal grandparents, Frank and Germaine Grom; his maternal grandmother, Emily Monroe; his godparents, Frank Grom and Bonnie Montori; and his best friend, Chris Dizzonne; and

WHEREAS, At the time of his death, Michael Grom was survived by his father, Thomas (Linda) Grom; his brothers, Tim Grom and Joshua (Danielle) Bentivegna; his sister, Christina Grom; his grandparents, Andy and Mary and Nicole and Jack; his nephews, Manny, Owen, and Jackson; his nieces, Alora, Leiana, and Isabella; his many aunts, uncles, and cousins from the Grom, Monroe, and Bentivegna families; and his many dear friends; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Michael Douglas Grom and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Michael Grom as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
