SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Dennis William Wells of Moline, who
4passed away on July 15, 2020; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Dennis Wells was born in Syracuse, New York to
6John Joseph and Doris Ann (Conway) Wells on August 26, 1951; he
7graduated from North Syracuse Central High School and Henderson
8State University in Arkansas; he married Cynthia J. Parker in
9January of 1974; he served in the U.S. Army from 1975 to 1986
10and graduated from the United States Army Command and General
11Staff College; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Dennis Wells worked in the Civilian Federal
13Service from 1987 until 2013 as a Logistics Management
14Specialist; he worked for Domino's Pizza from 2013 to 2020; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Dennis Wells was a voracious reader of history and
16political science and served as the family resource on those
17topics; he loved to play Solitaire, Candy Crush, and various
18online games; he was a good father and husband, kind, generous,
19and loving; and
 
20    WHEREAS, Dennis Wells was preceded in death by his parents;
21his sister, Jacqueline Borio; his brother-in-law, Charles

1Borio; his father-in-law, Max Parker; and his brother-in-law,
2John Parker; and
 
3    WHEREAS, Dennis Wells is survived by his wife, Cynthia; his
4sons, Patrick (Daniela Gregory) and Stephen (Brittney) Wells;
5his grandchildren, Francesco and Viviana Wells; his
6mother-in-law, Helen Parker; his sisters, JoAnn (Bill) Munroe,
7Mary Ellen Johnson, and Barbara (Kevin) Bennett; his brothers,
8James (Barbara) and Thomas (Cheryl McCrea) Wells; his
9sister-in-law, Leslie Parker; his brother-in-law, Joseph
10(Terri) Parker; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; and his
11dear friends, Susan Williams, Pat Jones, Becky Chiapetta, Susan
12Brock, Brandon Jett, and Holly Skiver; therefore, be it
 
13    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL
14ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
15Dennis William Wells and extend our sincere condolences to his
16family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
17further
 
18    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
19presented to the family of Dennis Wells as an expression of our
20deepest sympathy.
