SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Dennis William Wells of Moline, who passed away on July 15, 2020; and

WHEREAS, Dennis Wells was born in Syracuse, New York to John Joseph and Doris Ann (Conway) Wells on August 26, 1951; he graduated from North Syracuse Central High School and Henderson State University in Arkansas; he married Cynthia J. Parker in January of 1974; he served in the U.S. Army from 1975 to 1986 and graduated from the United States Army Command and General Staff College; and

WHEREAS, Dennis Wells worked in the Civilian Federal Service from 1987 until 2013 as a Logistics Management Specialist; he worked for Domino's Pizza from 2013 to 2020; and

WHEREAS, Dennis Wells was a voracious reader of history and political science and served as the family resource on those topics; he loved to play Solitaire, Candy Crush, and various online games; he was a good father and husband, kind, generous, and loving; and

WHEREAS, Dennis Wells was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Jacqueline Borio; his brother-in-law, Charles Borio; his father-in-law, Max Parker; and his brother-in-law, John Parker; and

WHEREAS, Dennis Wells is survived by his wife, Cynthia; his sons, Patrick (Daniela Gregory) and Stephen (Brittney) Wells; his grandchildren, Francesco and Viviana Wells; his mother-in-law, Helen Parker; his sisters, JoAnn (Bill) Munroe, Mary Ellen Johnson, and Barbara (Kevin) Bennett; his brothers, James (Barbara) and Thomas (Cheryl McCrea) Wells; his sister-in-law, Leslie Parker; his brother-in-law, Joseph (Terri) Parker; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; and his dear friends, Susan Williams, Pat Jones, Becky Chiapetta, Susan Brock, Brandon Jett, and Holly Skiver; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Dennis William Wells and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Dennis Wells as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
