SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Charles "Chuck" Bonner of Sherman, who passed away on May 3, 2020; and

WHEREAS, Chuck Bonner was born in Springfield to Charles and Irene H. Nemecek Bonner on January 25, 1952; he graduated from Southeast High School and served in the U.S. Army in Germany from 1972 to 1974; he married Judy Cervellone on November 2, 2002; and

WHEREAS, Chuck Bonner worked as an electrician for Pillsbury Mills and Cargill for 30 years; he retired from the U.S. Postal Service in 2017; and

WHEREAS, Chuck Bonner enjoyed motorcycle road trips; and

WHEREAS, Chuck Bonner was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, Thomas Emil Bonner and Timothy E. Bonner; and

WHEREAS, Chuck Bonner is survived by his wife, Judy; his sister-in-law, Judy A. Bonner; his nephew, Thomas E. (Deonna) Bonner; his great-nieces, Lauren and Sara Bonner; several cousins; and his close friend, Tom Cartmel; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Charles "Chuck" Bonner and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Chuck Bonner as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
