1 HOUSE RESOLUTION

2     WHEREAS, The citizens of Illinois are continually taxed
3 more and more each year; and

4     WHEREAS, These taxes make Illinois inhospitable to both
5 citizens and businesses alike; and

6     WHEREAS, The citizens of Illinois are already faced with
7 some of the highest taxes in the nation; and

8     WHEREAS, The citizens of Illinois are already faced with
9 many aspects of their lives being taxed at ever-increasing
10 rates; therefore, be it

11     RESOLVED, BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE ONE
12 HUNDRED FIRST GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that
13 we are opposed to any increase in the gas tax in 2019 and
14 beyond; and be it further

15     RESOLVED, That suitable copies of this resolution be
16 delivered to each member of the Illinois General Assembly.
