SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of William A. Robinson Sr. of Richmond, who passed away on September 25, 2017; and

WHEREAS, William Robinson was born in Oak Park to William and Helen (Hubbell) Robinson on June 9, 1931; he served in the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla 41-04 in Fox Lake and Flotilla 39-02 in Des Plaines; he married Marilyn Bartlett in Woodstock on April 4, 1970; and

WHEREAS, William Robinson was employed as an electrical engineer at Sun Electric, Oak Industries, the Northrup Corp. and Actown for over 35 years, retiring in 1989; and

WHEREAS, William Robinson was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church of Richmond, spending many years in the choir and teaching CCD classes; he was an assistant Pack Leader for Cub Scout Troop 340, taught boating classes at McHenry County College, and was a member of the McHenry Moose Lodge; and

WHEREAS, William Robinson was preceded in death by his wife, Marilyn; and

WHEREAS, William Robinson is survived by his children, Jerome Hart Jr., Colleen (Ron) Maxstadt, Patrick (Pamela) Hart, Maureen Boswell, Timothy (Kellie) Hart, Kathleen (John) Berthoud, Hellene Robinson, Christine (Orlando) Alvarado, Corinne Tessman, and William A. Robinson Jr.; his grandchildren, Todd (Shelly) Bloom, Jennifer Hart, Teresa Pratz, Sandra (Jorge) Rivera, Jessica (Gary) Montaigne, Krystal, Heather, and Sarah Hart, Ashley (Kenny) Moore, Rebecca Davis, Tim Boswell Jr., Samantha Boswell, Reece Hart, Gracie and Ethan Berthoud, Alex Schoenberger, Nick and Kyra Jeffrey, Wiliam, Abigail, and Allison Alvarado, Jolene and Maxine Carlson, and Francine Tessman; and his great-grandchildren, Zachary, TJ, and Gabrielle Bloom, Skyler, Alyssa, Seth, and Aaron Pratz, Natasha, Ivan, and Sean Rivera, Jacob Montaigne, and Aubrey Davis; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of William A. Robinson Sr., and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of William Robinson as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
