SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Paul E. Rueff of Marengo, who passed away September 23, 2017; and

WHEREAS, Paul Rueff was born in Tower Hill to Ezra and Bessie (Blades) Rueff on May 16, 1931; and

WHEREAS, Paul Rueff proudly served in the United States Army; while he was stationed in Germany, he met his sweetheart, Margot, and they married in Crystal Lake on May 7, 1955; and

WHEREAS, Paul Rueff's dedication to his country through his military service was recognized when he was able to participate in an Honor Flight; that experience was one of the best in his life; and

WHEREAS, Paul Rueff was a family man and a hard worker; he had an easy-going demeanor and took pride in everything he did; and

WHEREAS, Paul Rueff was preceded in death by his wife, Margot; and his siblings, Kenneth, Mary, Reba, and John; and

WHEREAS, Paul Rueff is survived by his children, Dale (Kim), Michael, Kenneth (Susan), and Diane (Scott) Gerner; his grandchildren, Jason, Jessica, Kyle, Emily, and Alex; his great-grandson, Maddux; and his brothers, Frank (Brenda) Rueff and Robert (Gladys) Rueff; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Paul E. Rueff, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Paul Rueff as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
