SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Albert "Al" Savegnago of Wheaton, who
4passed away on October 1, 2017; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Albert Savegnago was born in Geneva, Illinois to
6Santo Savegnago and Concetta "Jennie" Difazzio on May 12, 1928;
7he was raised in Wheaton and fondly remembered when horses and
8buggies could be seen on the dirt streets of downtown; he
9attended both Lowell Elementary School and St. Michael's; he
10graduated from Wheaton Community High School in 1946 and then
11joined the National Guard and served for seven years; he
12married Carol Schafer in a double wedding with her sister,
13Shirley, at Immaculate Conception in Elmhurst on October 21,
141950; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Albert Savegnago started his own business, which,
16over the years, evolved into an industrial screen printing
17company; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Albert Savegnago had a giving heart, especially
19for charities, educational institutions, and other community
20organizations; he loved to support non-profit organizations;
21if anyone asked him for help, he always said yes; and

1    WHEREAS, Albert Savegnago is survived by his wife, Carol;
2his children, Kurt (Sally) Savegnago, David Savegnago, and Lisa
3(Randy Johnson) Savegnago; his grandchildren, Sarah (Phillip
4Shao) Savegnago, Christopher Savegnago, and Sophia Olivia
5Savegnago-Johnson; and his many nieces, nephews, and cousins;
6therefore, be it
 
7    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
8ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
9Albert "Al" Savegnago, and extend our sincere condolences to
10his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
11further
 
12    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
13presented to the family of Albert Savegnago as an expression of
14our deepest sympathy.
