SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Philip John Kibler of Moline, who passed
4away on September 15, 2017; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Philip Kibler was born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa to
6George T. and Frances J. (Cronbaugh) Kibler on August 25, 1927;
7he graduated from Marengo (Iowa) High School in 1945 and
8attended the University of Iowa; he served in the United States
9Army in Japan from October 1, 1945 to February 26, 1947; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Philip Kibler was employed with the United States
11Postal Service's Railway Mail Service and then at the Cedar
12Rapids (Iowa) Post Office, retiring in 1984; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Philip Kibler was a member of East Moline American
14Legion Post 227, East Moline-Silvis AMVETS Post 145, and the
15Croatian Club; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Philip Kibler was preceded in death by his
17parents; his brother, George B. Kibler; and his twin sister,
18Phylis Mary Kibler Shedenhelm; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Philip Kibler is survived by his son, Daniel
20Kibler (Diana Hobson); his grandchildren, Morgan F. Kibler and

1Austin J. Kibler; his sister, Elizabeth Stanerson; and his
2longtime special friend and caregiver, Cheryl Aitken;
3therefore, be it
 
4    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
5ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
6Philip John Kibler, and extend our sincere condolences to his
7family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
8further
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
10presented to the family of Philip Kibler as an expression of
11our deepest sympathy.
