SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Diane L. (Carey) (Villegas) Hartman of Joliet, who passed away on January 14, 2017 at the age of 62; and

WHEREAS, Diane Hartman was born on April 6, 1954; she attended SS. Cyril and Methodius Catholic Grade School and Joliet Central High School; she later attended JJC, St. Francis University, and Lewis University; and

WHEREAS, Diane Hartman retired from Joliet Central High School after a long teaching career; and

WHEREAS, Diane Hartman was preceded in death by her beautiful daughter, Julie Villegas; her parents, Bernice (Shoba) Carey and Raymond Carey; and her amazing brother, James G. Carey; and

WHEREAS, Diane Hartman is survived by her spectacular husband, Jeffrey Hartman; her much loved children, Mark (Jennie) and Alexis Villegas; her grandchildren, Marissa, Savannah, and Violet Villegas; her siblings, fun-loving Ralph Carey, most helpful sister, Joyce (Tom) Moss, and Raymond Carey Jr.; her sister-in-law, Sheila Carey; and former sister-in-law, Patricia Bever; her wonderful mother-in-law, Dean Hartman; her sisters-in-law, Julie (Stan) Clark, Deanna (Gordon) Lustfeldt; and brother-in-law, Joseph (Beth) Hartman; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins; and her faithful furry companion, Benjamin; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we, along with her family and friends, mourn the passing of Diane L. Hartman, and extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Diane Hartman as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
