SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Carol Jean (Dorr) Wildey of Crystal Lake,
4who passed away September 6, 2017; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Carol Wildey was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota to
6Walter and Louise (Engdahl) Dorr on November 27, 1943; she
7graduated from the Abbott Hospital School of Nursing in
8Minneapolis, where she also began her career; she them moved to
9Virginia Beach to work at the Naval Hospital in Portsmouth,
10Virginia; it was there that she met Richard Wildey, and they
11were married on November 4, 1967; they settled in Crystal Lake
12where they raised their two daughters; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Carol Wildey worked at Sherman Hospital in Elgin;
14in 1978, she helped to open Good Shepherd Hospital in
15Barrington, where her main concentration was pediatrics; she
16received her bachelor's degree from the College of St. Francis
17in May of 1995; she retired from Good Shepherd Hospital as the
18Pediatric Clinical Educator; after her retirement, she cared
19for patients in the Barrington area who needed long-term
20infusion therapy; and
 
21    WHEREAS, Carol Wildey was involved in many activities,
22including tennis, golf, gardening, and officiating competitive

1swimming; she enjoyed baking and spending time with her family,
2especially her grandchildren; she will be remembered for her
3sharp wit, ability to make people laugh, and her tenacious
4spirit; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Carol Wildey is survived by her husband, Dick; her
6daughters, Stephanie (Michael) Wozny and Pamela (Flip) Lukens;
7and her grandchildren, Rhiannon and Makenna Wozny and Joseph
8and Jackson Lukens; therefore, be it
 
9    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
10ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
11Carol Jean (Dorr) Wildey, and we extend our sincere condolences
12to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be
13it further
 
14    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
15presented to the family of Carol Wildey as an expression of our
16deepest sympathy.
