SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Marietta Tornabene Hirsch of Lombard, who passed away on August 29, 2017; and

WHEREAS, Marietta Hirsch was a Girl Scout leader and past president of the Sacred Heart Home and School Association; she loved to crochet; her grandchildren meant the world to her; and

WHEREAS, Marietta Hirsch was preceded in death by her brother, Joseph Tornabene; and

WHEREAS, Marietta Hirsch is survived by her beloved husband, Lee; her loving children, Juliemarie (Dan) Stephens and Michael (Katherine) Hirsch; her dear grandchildren, Maxwell, Alexander, Alyssa, and Walter; her fond siblings, Elizabeth (Rick) David, Margaret (Bill) Hanlon, Felica (Joe) Peters, and Phillip (Debbie) Tornabene; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Marietta Tornabene Hirsch, and extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Marietta Hirsch as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
