SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Gary Lee Zarazinski of Waukegan, who
4passed away on August 10, 2017; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Gary Zarazinski was born in Minneapolis,
6Minnesota to Beatrice and Walter Zarazinski on October 23,
71943; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Gary Zarazinski graduated from North Chicago High
9School, where he was a three-time All State wrestler and a
10member of the band; he graduated from Aurora College and was a
11licensed Certified Public Accountant; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Gary Zarazinski served as a First Lieutenant in
13the United States Army during the Vietnam War; he earned an Air
14Medal, Bronze Star, Purple Heart, and Vietnam Service Medal; he
15also served in the National Guard and attained the rank of
16Captain; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Gary Zarazinski volunteered for Cub Scouts, the
18Waukegan Baseball Association, and the Lions Club; he was an
19avid golfer and played in leagues at Bonnie Brook and Midlane;
20he was a devoted Cubs fan and got to see his beloved team win
21the World Series last year; and

1    WHEREAS, Gary Zarazinski was preceded in death by his
2parents; and his brother, Bruce; and
 
3    WHEREAS, Gary Zarazinski is survived by his daughter,
4Karen; his son, David; his sisters, Cindy Zarazinski (Chris)
5Summers and Tanya (James) Rigwood; his close friend, Sue Janda;
6and his many cousins, nephews, and nieces; therefore, be it
 
7    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
8ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
9Gary Lee Zarazinski, and extend our sincere condolences to his
10family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
11further
 
12    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
13presented to the family of Gary Zarazinski as an expression of
14our deepest sympathy.
