SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Virginia A. Vose of Springfield, who
4passed away on August 19, 2017; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Virginia Vose was born in Springfield to William
6and Catherine (Kornfeld) Vetter on July 1, 1924; she married
7Bob Vose on May 2, 1953; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Virginia Vose was a lifelong resident of
9Springfield and worked for the State of Illinois Comptroller;
10she, along with her husband, owned and operated Vose's Fine
11Foods and served "Vose's Corn Dogs" at the Illinois State Fair
12for over 51 years; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Virginia Vose was dedicated to her family and had
14a loving spirit; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Virginia Vose was preceded in death by her
16parents; and her three sisters, Catherine, Eileen, and Shirley;
17and
 
18    WHEREAS, Virginia Vose is survived by her husband; her
19children, Robert Vose Jr, Virginia (Michael) Geiger, Ronald
20(Marybeth) Vose, Kenneth (Roxanne) Vose, Debra Vose, and Sandra

1(Robert) Orr; her grandchildren, Brad Vose, Justin (Lindsey)
2Vose, Kelsie Vose, Jacee (Kyle) Byerline, Philip Dionne, Grace
3Geiger, Joe (Mary) Geiger, Hannah Geiger, Alexa Rapps, Taylor
4Rapps, Kevin Rapps, Ali Orr, Brett Sherman, and Sam Sherman;
5her nine great-grandchildren; her brother, William (Jane)
6Vetter; and several nieces and nephews; therefore, be it
 
7    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
8ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
9Virginia A. Vose, and extend our sincere condolences to her
10family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
11further
 
12    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
13presented to the family of Virginia Vose as an expression of
14our deepest sympathy.
