SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Kevin Michael Click of Wonder Lake, who passed away on August 1, 2017; and

WHEREAS, Kevin Click was born in Chicago to Edward and Virginia (Serowka) Click on December 26, 1951; he received his Bachelor of Arts from Northern Illinois University in DeKalb and his master's degree from Walden University; he married Patricia Wienrich at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Crystal Lake on July 14, 1979; and

WHEREAS, Kevin Click enjoyed a 26-year career with School District 36, where he was an art teacher at Harrison Elementary School; he was active with the Environmental Club, the Art Club, and the Chess Club; he was in charge of the school's Prairie Garden for many years; prior to that, he was employed for 13 years as a supervisor for a company that manufactured computer tape for the government; and

WHEREAS, Kevin Click volunteered for the McHenry County Conservation District as a bluebird monitor for 22 years; he also volunteered at the Volo Bog State Natural Area for bird walks and with the Youth Art Guild; he served as a bluebird, owl, and sand hill crane monitor for the Illinois Department of Natural Resources and participated in Fox Waterway cleanup activities; he was a member of the McHenry County Audubon Society, the Illinois Audubon Society, and the Lake County Astronomical Society; and

WHEREAS, Kevin Click enjoyed visiting Glacier National Park in Montana; he loved the Siberian Husky dog breed; he enjoyed raising them and managed his own dogsled team for many years; he was a fan of Frank Zappa and was an avid reader; and

WHEREAS, Kevin Click was preceded in death by his parents; and

WHEREAS, Kevin Click is survived by his wife of 38 years, Patricia; his children, Kane (Michelle) Click, Sean Click, Egan Click, and Sheridan Click; his grandson, Achim; his brothers, Dan Click, Brian (Regina) Click, and Ted (Barb) Click; and his sister, Kathi (Bill) Hladik; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Kevin Michael Click, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Kevin Click as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
