SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of James Francis Gallagher of Highland Park, who passed away on August 6, 2017; and

WHEREAS, James Gallagher was born in Highland Park; he was married to Dorothy Gallagher for 69 years; and

WHEREAS, James Gallagher served during World War II as a sergeant with the United States Air Force 71st Bombardment Squadron-Wolf Pack; and

WHEREAS, James Gallagher was a deacon in the Catholic Church, Chicago Archdiocese and served in many capacities at St. James Catholic Church in Highwood; and

WHEREAS, James Gallagher is survived by his children, Jamie Gallagher, Cindy Gallagher, and Michael (Lisa) Gallagher; his grandchildren, Michael and Mark (Sari) Gallagher; and his great-grandchild, Jules; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of James Francis Gallagher, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of James Gallagher as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
