SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Janet K. (Grimm) Jacob of Vernon Hills, who passed away on November 20, 2016; and

WHEREAS, Janet Jacob was a loving, warm-hearted lady; she enjoyed making everyone laugh, cooking gourmet meals, and entertaining; she touched the lives of many; and

WHEREAS, Janet Jacob was preceded in death by her parents, Howard and Louise Grimm, and her stepfather, Clarence Mehlow; and

WHEREAS, Janet Jacob was the wife and best friend of 56 years of Richard Jacob; the mother of Howard (Lisa) and Mary Beth Porter (Matt); the grandmother of Shelby and Julia Jacob and Sean and Robbie Porter; the sister of Betty Burt; and favorite aunt (or so she said) of many; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Janet K. Jacob, and extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Janet Jacob as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
