SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Richard Leo Spence of Moline, who passed
4away on July 18, 2017; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Richard Spence was born in Aledo to Ralph and
6Gladys Brock Spence on June 16, 1930; he served in the United
7States Army during the Korean War and married Patricia A.
8Hughes in Fairfield, Iowa on September 14, 1956; and
 
9    WHEREAS, Richard Spence was employed for 20 years as a
10maintenance man with Montgomery Ward; and
 
11    WHEREAS, Richard Spence was preceded in death by his
12parents; his daughter, Pamela Spence; five brothers; his
13sons-in-law, Donald Adams and Dennis Edmonds; and his
14great-great-grandson, Maverick Clearman Warner; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Richard Spence is survived by his wife, Patricia;
16his daughters, Debra Spence, Elizabeth Dove, Sandra Septer, and
17Rosie Adams; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and
18one great-great-grandchild; therefore, be it
 
19    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
20ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of

1Richard Leo Spence, and extend our sincere condolences to his
2family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
3further
 
4    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
5presented to the family of Richard Spence as an expression of
6our deepest sympathy.
