SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Raymond G. Kroker of Huntley, who passed
4away on June 28, 2017; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Raymond Kroker was born in Chicago to George
6Frederick and Lillian (Solhem) Kroker on November 11, 1922; he
7graduated from Northwestern University with a degree in
8engineering; he served during World War II as a
9navigator/bombardier of a B-25 with the famed "Burma Bridge
10Busters" 10th Air Force in China/Burma; he retired as a
11lieutenant colonel from the United States Air Force Reserve;
12and
 
13    WHEREAS, Raymond Kroker worked as an electrical engineer
14for Eureka-Williams for many years while living in Bloomington;
15he moved his family to Albuquerque, New Mexico in 1969; he set
16up and operated Kroker Engineering, where he designed and
17manufactured the racing boat motors, Sea Wasp, Sea Ram, and Sea
18Pup; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Raymond Kroker was preceded in death by his
20parents and his son-in-law, Leroy Bianchi; and
 
21    WHEREAS, Raymond Kroker is survived by his children, George

1(Leslie) Kroker, Linda Bianchi, Jeanne (George) Guerdrum, and
2Kathleen (Bruce) Fleshren; and his grandchildren, Molly,
3Elizabeth, and Kristi Kroker, Louis and Anne Bianchi, and
4Jonathan and Geoffrey (Carmen) Guerdrum; therefore, be it
 
5    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
6ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
7Raymond G. Kroker, and extend our sincere condolences to his
8family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
9further
 
10    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
11presented to the family of Raymond Kroker as an expression of
12our deepest sympathy.
