SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Holly Friday of McHenry, who passed away on July 3, 2017; and

WHEREAS, Holly Friday was born in Deerfield to Marjorie and Frank Stieber on August 11, 1960; she attended Holy Cross Grade School and Deerfield High School; she graduated from the University of Arizona; and

WHEREAS, Holly Friday taught first at St. Mary's School in Buffalo Grove and then at Harvard Junior High School; and

WHEREAS, Holly Friday loved her family, friends, co-workers, and her dogs, Madra and Valley; she was a member of the Clayworkers' Guild of Illinois and enjoyed quilting and knitting; and

WHEREAS, Holly Friday was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Lyn (Barry) Stockton; and

WHEREAS, Holly Friday is survived by her husband, Daniel Friday; her children, Maggie and Kevin; her sisters, Diane (Keith) Berkholtz, Debbie (Michael) Petroff, and Karen (Kyle) Goodwin; her brother, Mark (Rhonda) Stieber; and 10 nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Holly Friday, and extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Holly Friday as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
