SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Illinois State Trooper Ryan Matthew Albin
4of rural Bellflower, who passed away on June 28, 2017; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Trooper Albin was born in Urbana to Robert C. and
6Rebecca A. Cohoon Albin on November 16, 1979; he graduated from
7Blue Ridge High School in Farmer City, where he was a
8multi-sport athlete; he attended Eureka College, where he
9received numerous conference honors in football; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Trooper Albin was accepted into Illinois State
11Police Academy Class 111; he was assigned to District 6 in
12Pontiac, where he served for over 11 years; he was awarded the
132015 District 6 Officer of the Year; he was also awarded
14numerous department commendations and awards for his exemplary
15criminal interdiction work and DUI enforcement; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Trooper Albin was a member of the National
17Criminal Enforcement Association; he served as a juvenile
18officer and a Fraternal Order of Police trustee; he attended
19Trinity Community Fellowship in Farmer City; and
 
20    WHEREAS, Trooper Albin was preceded in death by his
21grandparents and his cousin, Brian Cohoon; and

1    WHEREAS, Trooper Albin is survived by his children, Stella
2Grace and Charlie Robert; his parents; his sisters, Raeanne
3(Peter) Stegemann and Rachelle Albin (Jim Nasif); his special
4nieces, Chloe, Olivia, and Mia Stegemann; many cousins, aunts,
5and uncles; and his ISP canine partner, Biko; therefore, be it
 
6    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
7ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
8Illinois State Trooper Ryan Matthew Albin, and extend our
9sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew
10and loved him; and be it further
 
11    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
12presented to the family of Trooper Albin as an expression of
13our deepest sympathy.
