SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Vicente Santoyo Sanchez of Berwyn, who passed away on April 5, 2016; and

WHEREAS, Vicente Sanchez was born in General Ponfilo Natera in Zacatecas, Mexico to Pablo Santoyo and Catalina Sanchez on April 14, 1968; in 1986, he emigrated to the United States and headed for California; and

WHEREAS, Vicente Sanchez moved to Chicago in 1988 and joined his brother, Lucino, working together at a demolition company; he worked for Robinette Demolition from 1997 to 2009; he most recently worked for Omega Demolition in Elgin; he was a 25-year veteran of Laborers Local 225; and

WHEREAS, Vicente Sanchez became a permanent resident of the United States in 1990; he married Maricela in a civil ceremony on May 25, 1996, and in a religious ceremony on July 21, 1996; and

WHEREAS, Vicente Sanchez was a parishioner at St. Anthony Parish in Cicero; and

WHEREAS, Vicente Sanchez was preceded in death by his parents; and

WHEREAS, Vicente Sanchez is survived by his wife, Maricela, and his children, Vicente Santoyo Jr., Juan Pablo, and twin daughters; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Vicente Santoyo Sanchez, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Vicente Sanchez as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
