1 SENATE RESOLUTION

2     WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3 learn of the death of Lorenza Burrafato of Woodstock, who
4 passed away on June 12, 2017; and

5     WHEREAS, Lorenza Burrafato was born to Salvatore and
6 Concetta (Cimino) Sunseri in Italy on November 15, 1924; she
7 received her tailoring degree in Italy and married Carmen
8 Burrafato; and

9     WHEREAS, Lorenza Burrafato ran a successful tailoring
10 business in McHenry for over 48 years; and

11     WHEREAS, Lorenza Burrafato was a loving wife, mother, and
12 friend and will be missed by all; and

13     WHEREAS, Lorenza Burrafato was preceded in death by her
14 husband, Carmen, and her daughter, Rose Burrafato; and

15     WHEREAS, Lorenza Burrafato is survived by her daughters,
16 Mary (Butch) Dowell and Connie (Dennis) Blietz; six
17 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and three
18 great-great-grandchildren; therefore, be it

19     RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL

1 ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
2 Lorenza Burrafato, and extend our sincere condolences to his
3 family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
4 further

5     RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
6 presented to the family of Lorenza Burrafato as an expression
7 of our deepest sympathy.
