SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of James "Jimmy" S. Zachar of Huntley, who passed away on May 21, 2017; and

WHEREAS, James Zachar was born in Chicago to Stanley and Barbara (Krughoff) Zachar in 1948; he served in the United States Army in the Vietnam War, where he was decorated with three honorary service medals; and

WHEREAS, James Zachar worked as a truck driver and specialty hauling contractor in the Chicago area; and

WHEREAS, James Zachar loved to tinker and have garage sales with his many "found treasures"; he was an avid fisherman; and

WHEREAS, James Zachar was preceded in death by his parents; his stepson, William MacShane; and his step-granddaughter, Natalie MacShane; and

WHEREAS, James Zachar is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Roberta M. St. Clair; his stepchildren, Susan Kuhlman, Dennis (Kim) MacShane, Therese (Jack) Caveney, MaryKay MacShane, and Christopher (Diane) MacShane; 12 step-grandchildren; three step-great-grandchildren; and his brothers, Gene (Nancy) and William; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of James "Jimmy" S. Zachar, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of James Zachar as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
