SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Ronald D. Walima I of Crystal Lake, who
4passed away on May 23, 2017; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Ronald Walima was born in Waterloo, Iowa to Albert
6and Mabel (Scofield) Walima on December 24, 1942; he served in
7the United States Navy for six years as a corpsman; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Ronald Walima retired from Navistar International
9as a timekeeper on February 27, 2009 after 40 years of service;
10and
 
11    WHEREAS, Ronald Walima served with the McHenry County
12Emergency Services Disaster Agency and as a part time police
13office for the Village of Lake in the Hills and as a auxiliary
14police office with the Village of Carpentersville; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Ronald Walima was preceded in death by his
16daughter, Jessica Jean Walima; his parents; his in-laws, Walter
17and Lorraine (Knudson) Ultsch; his son-in-law, Darrell
18Birkhoff; and his brother and sister-in-law, Greg and Joyce
19Ultsch; and
 
20    WHEREAS, Ronald Walima is survived by his wife, Lorrie

1(Ultsch) Walima; his children, Ron (Mary Laramie) Walima II,
2and Lisa Birkhoff; his grandchildren, Robert, Gabby, Katie,
3Jordyn, Trevor, Logan, Madison, and Michael; and his siblings,
4Michelle (Jim) Cielinski and Gloria (Ron) Barkosky; therefore,
5be it
 
6    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
7ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
8Ronald D. Walima I, and extend our sincere condolences to his
9family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
10further
 
11    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
12presented to the family of Ronald Walima as an expression of
13our deepest sympathy.
