SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of James Robert Hagerty of Gurnee, who
4passed away on January 21, 2017; and
 
5    WHEREAS, James Hagerty was born in Waukegan to Robert and
6Vinetta Hagerty on August 18, 1949; he married Phyllis J.
7Cashmore on August 15, 1987 and they resided in the Gurnee
8area; and
 
9    WHEREAS, James Hagerty worked for ComEd and the Ann Kiley
10Center; and
 
11    WHEREAS, James Hagerty was a very giving person of his time
12and talents to his church, family, and friends; he held many
13offices with his church, including president; he had a love for
14food and cooking and enjoyed putting on barbecues; he started
15his own business, James R. Hagerty Catering; and
 
16    WHEREAS, James Hagerty was preceded in death by his
17parents; and
 
18    WHEREAS, James Hagerty is survived by his wife, Phyllis;
19his brothers, Michael (Terry), Thomas (Wanda), Daniel
20(Sylvia), and Robert (Tina); his sister, Kathleen; his

1daughter, Lyn (Tom) Champeau; his son, Charles (Lynn) Cashmore;
2his brothers-in-law, Lester Geer and Tom (Pat) Koppelman; five
3granddaughters; six great-grandchildren; and many nieces and
4nephews; therefore, be it
 
5    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
6ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
7James Robert Hagerty, and extend our sincere condolences to his
8family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
9further
 
10    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
11presented to the family of James Hagerty as an expression of
12our deepest sympathy.
