SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of William "Bill" Dunlay Drew of Chicago, who passed away on May 14, 2017; and

WHEREAS, William Drew was born in Waukegan on July 18, 1947 to Richard and Loretta (Olson) Drew; he graduated from Waukegan High School, the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and the University of Illinois at Chicago; and

WHEREAS, William Drew was a computer programmer and a longtime community activist; and

WHEREAS, William Drew is survived by his wife, Gloria (Hernandez-Luis); his sons, Richard and William; his sisters, Jane (Michael) Waller and Nora Renzulli; his brother, John (Lauren Baker) Drew; and many cousins, nephews, nieces, and friends; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of William "Bill" Dunlay Drew, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of William Drew as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
