SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Savanna "Vannie" Wilson of Springfield, who passed away on May 25, 2017; and

WHEREAS, Savanna Wilson was born in Springfield to Jessica Underwood and Jaime Wilson on October 11, 2003; she was a student at Jefferson Middle School where she was a cheerleader and on the basketball team; and

WHEREAS, Savanna Wilson was a social butterfly and full of life; she enjoyed reading, listening to music, dancing, and spending time with family and friends; and

WHEREAS, Savanna Wilson was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, Henry Lee Wilson; her great-aunt, Deanna Rockwood; and her great-uncle, Bruce Rockwood; and

WHEREAS, Savanna Wilson is survived by her parents; her siblings, Jaime Wilson II and Kyla Wilson; her grandparents, Kaydo and Ellen Underwood and Geanette Wilson; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Savanna "Vannie" Wilson, and extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Savanna Wilson as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
