SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Lowell A. "Andy" Anderson of Johnsburg, who passed away on May 14, 2017; and

WHEREAS, Lowell Anderson was born in Belvidere to Louis and Beatrice (Champlin) Stephy on November 14, 1934; he served in the United States Navy from 1953 to 1957 during the Korean War and learned his trade as a machinist mate; he married Donna Adams at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Johnsburg on September 7, 1957; and

WHEREAS, Lowell Anderson worked for most of his career as a mold maker for Alpha Star Tool And Mold, Inc. in Crystal Lake; and

WHEREAS, Lowell Anderson was a longtime member and very active in McHenry Moose Lodge #691 and McHenry VFW Post 4600; he was also a member of Polish Legion of American Veterans Post #188; he took great pride in his home that he had built in Johnsburg; he enjoyed maintaining his yard and his cars; he was a huge Bears fan and looked forward to watching the games with his friends; and

WHEREAS, Lowell Anderson was preceded in death by his wife, Donna; his parents; his brother, Rollie Anderson; and his in-laws, Clara and Arthur Adams; and

WHEREAS, Lowell Anderson is survived by his children, Scott (Julie) Anderson, Dawn Anderson, and Michelle (Rick) Leber; his grandchildren, Lauren (Sean) Schuelke, Megan (Charles) Bills, Brian Anderson, Lauren (Mike) Freye, Kurt Leber, and DeeAnne (Richard Peter) Leber; and four great-grandchildren; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Lowell A. "Andy" Anderson, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Lowell Anderson as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
