SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Everett Wayne "Rawhide" Madson of Ipava,
4who passed away on May 15, 2017; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Everett Madson was born in Jerseyville to Nestor
6E. and Violet R. (Smith) Madson on January 4, 1931; he married
7F. Marilyn Bankes in Havana on July 3, 1953; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Everett Madson was a member of Operating Engineers
9Local 649 for 65 years and worked as a heavy equipment and
10crane operator; he was also foreman of the Metropolitan
11Sanitary District of Greater Chicago; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Everett Madson was a member of the Berean
13Christian Church in Ipava; and
 
14    WHEREAS, Everett Madson collected antique construction
15toys and enjoyed going to toy shows; he liked to hunt, fish,
16and play with his grandkids; he loved his family and had a love
17for life itself; he enjoyed music, especially bluegrass,
18gospel, and listening to his children play; he also enjoyed
19gardening and feeding the squirrels and birds in his backyard;

1    WHEREAS, Everett Madson was preceded in death by his
2parents and his sister, Patricia Combs Stahl; and
 
3    WHEREAS, Everett Madson is survived by his wife, Marilyn;
4his sons, Robert (Joyce) Madson and Nestor (Jean) Madson; his
5daughters, Nancy (George) Buswell and Susan (William) Gehring;
613 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; one
7great-great-grandson; and his brother, James (Twila) Madson;
8therefore, be it
 
9    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
10ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
11Everett Wayne "Rawhide" Madson, and extend our sincere
12condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved
13him; and be it further
 
14    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
15presented to the family of Everett Madson as an expression of
16our deepest sympathy.
