SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Guy S. Little Jr. of Sullivan, who passed away on March 3, 2017; and

WHEREAS, Guy Little was born in Decatur to Guy S. Sr. and Inis Mathew Little on February 13, 1935; and

WHEREAS, Guy Little was the founder of The Little Theatre On the Square, which ran under his management from 1957 until 1978; and

WHEREAS, Guy Little rarely missed an opening night or closing performance at the theater and enjoyed corresponding with the many performers that he knew, many whose careers he had fostered; he was a lifetime member of the First Christian Church of Sullivan where he was deacon and a choir member; and

WHEREAS, Guy Little was preceded in death by his parents and his partner, Kirk McNamer; and

WHEREAS, Guy Little is survived by his son, Sean Little; his daughter, Vanessa Little; and his sister, Ellen VandenBrink; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Guy S. Little Jr., and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Guy Little as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
