SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Joaquina M. "Kena" Alamillo of Lockport,
4who passed away on May 2, 2017; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Joaquina Alamillo was born to Kenneth Marquez and
6Henrietta Sanchez on April 17, 1951; she was a resident of
7Joliet for many years before moving to Lockport; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Joaquina Alamillo retired from Silver Cross
9Hospital after 31 years of dedicated service; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Joaquina Alamillo was a devoted mother,
11grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Joaquina Alamillo was preceded in death by her
13parents; her daughter, Monica Teresa Alamillo; her
14brother-in-law, Juan Suarez; and her sister-in-law, Karen
15Marquez; and
 
16    WHEREAS, Joaquina Alamillo is survived by her children,
17Anita (Angel) Garcia, Raquel (Alan) Cottle, and Ricky
18(Jennifer) Alamillo; her grandchildren, Alex, Tony, Ava, Ricky
19Jr., Olivia, and Eva; her siblings, Tony (Arlene) Marquez,
20Sandra Suarez, Mike (Connie) Marquez, Debbie (Craig) Johnston,

1Robert Sanchez, John (Kathy) Romo, Monica Murphy, and Tom
2Alamillo; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins;
3therefore, be it
 
4    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
5ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
6Joaquina M. "Kena" Alamillo, and extend our sincere condolences
7to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be
8it further
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
10presented to the family of Joaquina Alamillo as an expression
11of our deepest sympathy.
