SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Lorraine M. Freund of McHenry, who passed away on April 17, 2017; and

WHEREAS, Lorraine Freund was born in Spring Grove to Frank and Mathilda (Kattner) May on May 9, 1922; she married Stanley Freund at St. Peter's Church of Spring Grove on October 24, 1945; and

WHEREAS, Lorraine Freund enjoyed gardening, baking, cooking, traveling, golf, and card clubs; her family was the most important thing to her; she was a longtime member of St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church and the Blessed Virgin Mary Sodality; and

WHEREAS, Lorraine Freund was preceded in death by her husband, Stanley; her parents; and her brothers, Arnold N., Frank A., and Eugene E. May; and

WHEREAS, Lorraine Freund is survived by her son, Dale L. (Cherise) Freund; her grandchildren, Andrew (Julie), Jeffrey (Stacy), Martin, and Matthew; her great-grandchildren, Alaina and Mazie; her sisters-in-law, Marjorie May, Mary Lou May, Glorice Jackson, and Doris Freund; and many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Lorraine M. Freund, and extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Lorraine Freund as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
