SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Susan Jane Grossman of Woodstock, who
4passed away on April 11, 2017; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Susan Grossman was born in Evanston to James and
6Rita (Close) Daly on October 9, 1940; she was raised in
7Johnsburg and graduated from McHenry High School in 1958; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Susan Grossman worked for nearly 20 years at
9Science Research Associates in Chicago; she served for 23 years
10on the Woodstock Rescue Squad and worked for five years at
11Centegra-Woodstock; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Susan Grossman was a lover of books and fine
13culture, but she was also a down-to-earth person who loved
14sewing and country and western music; and
 
15    WHEREAS, Susan Grossman was preceded in death by her
16parents, and her siblings, Mary Rita (Larry) Feezel, and
17Patrick James Daly; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Susan Grossman is survived by her children, Tracy
19Susan Grossman, Kurt J. Grossman, and Joseph "Jamie" (Heather)
20Grossman; her grandchildren, Samuel Wall, and Molly Susan

1Grossman; her siblings, Harriet (Finn) Nor, James (Carole)
2Daly, and Theresa (James) Waller; and many nieces and nephews;
3therefore, be it
 
4    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
5ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
6Susan Jane Grossman, and extend our sincere condolences to her
7family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
8further
 
9    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
10presented to the family of Susan Grossman as an expression of
11our deepest sympathy.
