SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Susan Jane Grossman of Woodstock, who passed away on April 11, 2017; and

WHEREAS, Susan Grossman was born in Evanston to James and Rita (Close) Daly on October 9, 1940; she was raised in Johnsburg and graduated from McHenry High School in 1958; and

WHEREAS, Susan Grossman worked for nearly 20 years at Science Research Associates in Chicago; she served for 23 years on the Woodstock Rescue Squad and worked for five years at Centegra-Woodstock; and

WHEREAS, Susan Grossman was a lover of books and fine culture, but she was also a down-to-earth person who loved sewing and country and western music; and

WHEREAS, Susan Grossman was preceded in death by her parents, and her siblings, Mary Rita (Larry) Feezel, and Patrick James Daly; and

WHEREAS, Susan Grossman is survived by her children, Tracy Susan Grossman, Kurt J. Grossman, and Joseph "Jamie" (Heather) Grossman; her grandchildren, Samuel Wall, and Molly Susan Grossman; her siblings, Harriet (Finn) Nor, James (Carole) Daly, and Theresa (James) Waller; and many nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Susan Jane Grossman, and extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Susan Grossman as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
