SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Eugene B. Hutchinson of East Moline, who
4passed away on March 24, 2017; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Eugene Hutchinson was born in Princeton, Kentucky
6to Walter Russell and Kathleen Coomes Hutchinson on September
77, 1933; he served in the United States Air Force during the
8Korean War and married Bonnie L. Hamner in Henderson, Kentucky
9on December 1, 1956; and
 
10    WHEREAS, Eugene Hutchinson worked as a design engineer for
11John Deere Harvester Works for 41 years; and
 
12    WHEREAS, Eugene Hutchinson was a member of St. Mary's
13Catholic Church in Hampton; he coached softball for many years
14and was a skilled hunter in his early years; he enjoyed
15woodworking, spending time with his family, and spoiling his
16grandchildren; and
 
17    WHEREAS, Eugene Hutchinson was preceded in death by his
18parents and his wife of nearly 50 years, Bonnie; and
 
19    WHEREAS, Eugene Hutchinson is survived by his children,
20Robin Brown, Mark (Beth) Hutchinson, and Kelly (Paul) Martin;

1his grandchildren, Jami, Erika, Matt, Paul, Melissa, David,
2Jordan, Devin, Dylan, and Logan; 12 great-grandchildren; his
3brothers, James (Margaret) Hutchinson, Donald (Joyce)
4Hutchinson, and Walter Lee (Gerry) Hutchinson; his
5brother-in-law, Charles Hamner; and several nieces and
6nephews; therefore, be it
 
7    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
8ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
9Eugene B. Hutchinson, and extend our sincere condolences to his
10family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it
11further
 
12    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
13presented to the family of Eugene Hutchinson as an expression
14of our deepest sympathy.
