| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of James Arthur LaGreca of Wonder Lake, who | 4 | | passed away on March 22, 2017; and
| 5 | | WHEREAS, James LaGreca was born in Chicago to Arthur and | 6 | | Edna (Johnson) LaGreca on June 21, 1934; he served in the | 7 | | United States Marine Corps from 1951 to 1954 and married | 8 | | Barbara Alexis Hagan at Nativity Lutheran Church in Wonder Lake | 9 | | on November 10, 1954; and
| 10 | | WHEREAS, James LaGreca served as a firefighter with the | 11 | | Chicago Fire Department; he retired as Battalion Chief after 17 | 12 | | years of service and began his second career in real estate; he | 13 | | was known throughout the Wonder Lake community and affiliated | 14 | | with Sullivan Realty in Wonder Lake for many years; and
| 15 | | WHEREAS, James LaGreca was a longtime member of Nativity | 16 | | Lutheran Church in Wonder Lake; he was an avid outdoorsman and | 17 | | enjoyed hunting and fishing; in his younger years, he enjoyed | 18 | | racquetball; he was devoted to his family and delighted in | 19 | | spending time with them; and
| 20 | | WHEREAS, James LaGreca was preceded in death by his | 21 | | parents; his son, Scott; and his sister, Barbara Fiala; and

| 1 | | WHEREAS, James LaGreca is survived by his wife of 62 years, | 2 | | Barbara; his children, Susan LaGreca, Anthony (Kay) LaGreca, | 3 | | and David (Alice) LaGreca; his daughter-in-law, Chris LaGreca; | 4 | | his sister, Sharon Doyle; 10 grandchildren; and several | 5 | | great-grandchildren; therefore, be it
| 6 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL | 7 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 8 | | James Arthur LaGreca, and extend our sincere condolences to his | 9 | | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | 10 | | further
| 11 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 12 | | presented to the family of James LaGreca as an expression of | 13 | | our deepest sympathy.
