SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Jerome F. Hutchison of Harvard, who passed away on March 20, 2017; and

WHEREAS, Jerome Hutchison was born in Chicago to Joseph and Edna (O'Brien) Hutchison on January 20, 1932; he served in the United States Army during the Korean War; and

WHEREAS, Jerome Hutchison retired from the Chicago Fire Department as Captain, after 32 years of service; and

WHEREAS, Jerome Hutchison was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Harvard; and

WHEREAS, Jerome Hutchison was preceded in death by his second wife, Alice; and

WHEREAS, Jerome Hutchison is survived by his first wife, Janine Dimitrakopolus; his children, Thomas (Barbara), and Timothy (Lucy), Robert (Jennifer) Keane, Joan (Greg) Tastad, and Lori (Kurt Steigerwald) Logan; 15 grandchildren, Jaclyn, James, Jason, Keith, Kelsie, Joshua, Scarlet, Justin, Robby, Bryana, Jordan, Elizabeth, Skylor, Brandon, Joseph; and six great-grandchildren, Aiden, Maggie, Declan, Olivia, James Jr., and Jackson; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Jerome F. Hutchison, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Jerome Hutchison as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
