| 2 | | WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to | 3 | | learn of the death of John Arthur Forbish of Harvard, who | 4 | | passed away on March 15, 2017; and | 5 | | WHEREAS, John Forbish was born in Harvard to Arthur V. and | 6 | | Grace M. (Schmid) Forbish on April 4, 1935; he graduated with a | 7 | | bachelor's degree in piano performance and conducting from the | 8 | | University of Illinois; he married the love of his life, and | 9 | | best friend Barb Britt on December 26, 1992; and
| 10 | | WHEREAS, John Forbish was a musician, teacher, choir | 11 | | director, and entertainer for over 50 years; and
| 12 | | WHEREAS, John Forbish was a member of St. Joseph Catholic | 13 | | Church, the Musician's Union, the Knights of Columbus, and the | 14 | | founder of the Queen's Vagabonds Ecumenical choir; and
| 15 | | WHEREAS, John Forbish was preceded in death by his parents | 16 | | and a niece, Lisa (Blee) Campbell; and
| 17 | | WHEREAS, John Forbish is survived by his loving wife of 24 | 18 | | years, Barb; his children, Larry (Katie) Forbish, Patricia | 19 | | Forbish, and Jennifer (Scott) Morris; his grandchildren, | 20 | | Katelyn Forbish, Chris (Diana) Morris, Ashley, Alex and Vanessa |

| 5 | | RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL | 6 | | ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of | 7 | | John Arthur Forbish, and extend our sincere condolences to his | 8 | | family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it | 9 | | further | 10 | | RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be | 11 | | presented to the family of John Forbish as an expression of our | 12 | | deepest sympathy.
