SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of John Michael Ferrero Jr. of Crystal Lake, who passed away on March 19, 2017; and

WHEREAS, John Ferrero was born in Chicago to John M. and Mary Frances on January 28, 1939; he graduated from St. Patrick High School in 1957; he then attended Loyola University in Chicago, graduating in 1966; he married Lois B. (Galizia) on June 26, 1965, and they enjoyed 51 years together; and

WHEREAS, John Ferrero was the proud owner of Ferrero Brothers, Inc.; he traveled the world buying, selling, and repairing offset printing equipment; and

WHEREAS, John Ferrero was an extremely caring and generous man; he will be missed by his fishing buddy, Ted, and the rest of his family and friends; his favorite pastime was chasing his children, grandchildren, nieces, and nephews whenever possible; and

WHEREAS, John Ferrero was preceded in death by his sister, Patricia Stanton; his sister-in-law, Theresa Pryor; and his brother-in-law, Norman; and

WHEREAS, John Ferrero is survived by his children, Christine (Scott) Craig, John M.(Karen Burgess) Ferrero III, Jean-Marie (Tom) Brickey, and Scott Ferrero; his grandchildren, Lauren, Nathaniel, Katherine, and Victoria Craig, Annette, Hope, Hadley, and Skyler Ferrero, and Amelia, Grace, Joel, and Gwyneth Brickey; his niece, Jessica (Robert) Mihm; and many other nieces and nephews; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of John Michael Ferrero Jr., and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of John Ferrero as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
