SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Ronald W. Gluff Sr. of Woodstock, who passed away on February 22, 2017; and

WHEREAS, Ronald Gluff Sr. was born in Woodstock on May 30, 1943; he served as a United States Navy Seabee during the Vietnam War; and

WHEREAS, Ronald Gluff Sr. worked as an engineer for the Chicago North Western and Union Pacific railroads for nearly 40 years; and

WHEREAS, Ronald Gluff Sr. enjoyed fishing, drinking Diet Pepsi, and following the Chicago Cubs; and

WHEREAS, Ronald Gluff Sr. and his wife, Nancy, raised three children, Ron, Brian, and Julie, in Schaumburg for nearly 40 years; they recently returned to Woodstock; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Ronald W. Gluff Sr., and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Ronald Gluff Sr. as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
