SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Sharon Ward of Gurnee, who passed away on February 22, 2017; and

WHEREAS, Sharon Ward was born in Laurium, Michigan to George and Joanne Mackie on July 15, 1947; she graduated from Waukegan High School in 1965; she earned her Bachelor of Science in 2005 from the Columbia College of Missouri; and

WHEREAS, Sharon Ward worked at Abbott Laboratories for 35 years; she retired in 2012 as a Compliance Analyst; and

WHEREAS, Sharon Ward enjoyed spending time with her friends and family, traveling, Halloween, dinner and a show, roller coasters, Zumba class, and the occasional water sport, fishing, zipline, or hiking adventure trips with her children and grandchildren; and

WHEREAS, Sharon Ward is survived by her mother, Joanne; her daughter, Meighan; her sons, Jon (Bea) and Jason(Lori); her brothers, David (Karen) and Tony (Ellen); her sisters, Diane (Dan), Terry (Marlin), and Marilyn (Dick); her grandchildren, Stephanie, Nicole, Paige, Jake, Jessica, Baylie, Rylie, and Tatum; and her great-grandson, Tucker; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Sharon Ward, and extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Sharon Ward as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
