SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Turner Augusta Lovelace of Waukegan, who passed away on February 21, 2017; and

WHEREAS, Turner Lovelace was born in Florence, Alabama on August 3, 1925; he later moved to North Chicago; and

WHEREAS, Turner Lovelace was an employee at Abbott Laboratories for over 40 years; and

WHEREAS, Turner Lovelace was a longtime member of Trinity AME Church in Waukegan; and

WHEREAS, Turner Lovelace is survived by his wife, Greta Lovelace, and numerous family members and friends; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Turner Augusta Lovelace, and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Turner Lovelace as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
