SENATE RESOLUTION

 
2    WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to
3learn of the death of Carol D. Kruse of Woodstock, who passed
4away on February 20, 2017; and
 
5    WHEREAS, Carol Kruse was born in Oak Park to Walter and
6Erna (Ehlers) Hachmeister on January 24, 1925; she married Paul
7H. Kruse on January 19, 1946; and
 
8    WHEREAS, Carol Kruse was a member of the Ladies Aide, the
9Lutheran Women's Missionary League, and the McHenry County HCE;
10she enjoyed reading, knitting, playing games, doing puzzles,
11and cooking; her passion was making quilts; she and her husband
12enjoyed traveling and dancing; and
 
13    WHEREAS, Carol Kruse was preceded in death by her husband
14of 70 years, Paul; her infant daughter, Linda Ann Kruse; her
15parents; her sisters, Ruth (Bob) Hanck, and Ethel (Paul)
16Brendel; her son-in-law, Gary Sherwin; and her
17great-grandsons, Alec Kruse Kaiser, and Andrew Kruse; and
 
18    WHEREAS, Carol Kruse is survived by her children, Charles
19(Karen) Kruse, John (Darlene) Kruse, Janet Sherwin, and Phyllis
20(Jack) Fischer; her grandchildren, Kurt Kruse, Karla (Brent)
21Stewart, Kevin (Mary Jo) Kruse, Tim (Sandra) Kruse, Tiffy

1(Bill) Sevcik, Chris (Teresa) Kruse, Brian (Melisa) Sherwin,
2and Monica (Matt) Green; her great-grandchildren, Marissa and
3Nicholas Hauri, Bret and Juliana Kruse, Emily and Jonathan
4Kruse, Katie and William Sevcik, Vivian Sherwin, Dylan Love,
5Andrew and Micah Kruse, and Max Green; and her
6step-great-grandchildren, Aaron, Seth, and Alex Stewart;
7therefore, be it
 
8    RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL
9ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of
10Carol D. Kruse, and extend our sincere condolences to her
11family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it
12further
 
13    RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be
14presented to the family of Carol Kruse as an expression of our
15deepest sympathy.
