SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Ralph B. Hipenbecker Jr. of Crystal Lake, who passed away on February 2, 2017 at the age of 80; and

WHEREAS, Ralph Hipenbecker Jr. served in the United States Army as a Private Second Class in Korea with the 6th Armored Division; he worked as a registered barber for many years at the Plaza Barber Shop; he was then employed as a tool and die maker at Tri-Cast Corp, both in Crystal Lake; he retired in 2001; and

WHEREAS, Ralph Hipenbecker Jr. enjoyed bowling, boating, dancing, billiards, fishing, and country music; his two favorite teams were the Green Bay Packers and the World Champion Chicago Cubs; he was a parishioner at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church in Crystal Lake; and

WHEREAS, Ralph Hipenbecker Jr. was preceded in death by his wife, Mary (Novinska) Hipenbecker; his sister, Barbara (Fred) Stepper; and his parents; and

WHEREAS, Ralph Hipenbecker Jr. is survived by his children, Annette (Michael Sr.) Barrett, Bob (Cheri) Hipenbecker, Diane (Jim Sabel) Hipenbecker, and Lisa (Steve) Amidei; and his grandchildren, Cassie, Tom, Tyler, Nathaniel, Alexandra, Kelsey, Gavin, Brandon, Clare, Michael Jr., and Viola; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Ralph B. Hipenbecker Jr., and extend our sincere condolences to his family, friends, and all who knew and loved him; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Ralph Hipenbecker Jr. as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
