SENATE RESOLUTION

WHEREAS, The members of the Illinois Senate are saddened to learn of the death of Maxine (Massey) Clark of Brighton, who passed away on December 24, 2018; and

WHEREAS, Maxine Clark was born in Weed, New Mexico to Floyd and Ruby Massey on December 25, 1934; she married Kenneth Clark in Oceanside, California on July 22, 1953; and

WHEREAS, Maxine Clark served as a United States Marine Corporal during the Korean War; and

WHEREAS, Maxine Clark was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Pete Massey; her brothers, Sonny Massey and David Massey; and

WHEREAS, Maxine Clark is survived by her husband, Kenneth; her daughters, Linda (Dennis) Sparrow and Annette Carlisle; her sons, David Clark and Daniel Clark; her six grandchildren; her eight great-grandchildren; her sister, Patsy (Bob) Johnson; and her brother, Jerry (Debbie) Massey; therefore, be it

RESOLVED, BY THE SENATE OF THE ONE HUNDREDTH GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF THE STATE OF ILLINOIS, that we mourn the passing of Maxine (Massey) Clark and extend our sincere condolences to her family, friends, and all who knew and loved her; and be it further

RESOLVED, That a suitable copy of this resolution be presented to the family of Maxine Clark as an expression of our deepest sympathy.
